iChat question

Hi, I just have a quick question about iChat. Is it possible to receive messages when you are away or idle? Is there a setting I'm just not seeing or is there an AppleScript that does it? Just want to know this, thanks in advance.

By default, as long as you're logged in (Available, Idle, Away, doesn't matter), you'll receive messages. You only don't receive them when you log off.

Really? I never receive messages when away or idle, and I haven't changed any settings for messages or anything.
