iChat sign on sound

You know how you can have the computer/iChat AV make a sound or speak text when you sign on? Well when I put my own phrase into the box and quit iChat then open it again, it keeps saying the defualt text, "You have logged in." It won't keep what I put What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: Also if I put something in, then go to another tab in the prefrences, then come back to Alerts, the text is set back to default.

EDIT 02: Ok now it seems you have to do things in a certain order to make it "save" or something. Man this is confusing....
