Those of you who have tried using those "other" alternative AIM clients have noticed the inability to read your buddy's away messages. For those of you who have already used iChat, I ask you one question. Does iChat allow such action?

iChat support reading away messages?

yes, in iChat you can read away messages. the away message appears in the buddy list, right under your buddies name. this is what i saw in the Apple store. there are probably other ways to view away messages is in iChat too. btw, iChat is so much nicer than AOL's client.
Oh yes, from the screenshots I've looked at it looks way nicer. AOL's AIM for OS X is a bit sluggish and very visually unappealing. So much so that Apple itself had to intervene, and create it's own damn AIM app. I wonder if in the futute iChat will be compatible with other Instant Messaging services.
