iChat Video Chat Problems

I have a 20" Imac Intel Core Duo 2 and have been experiencing problems initiating or receiving video chat requests. Everything seems fine as far as preferences and occasionally it will work, but like 2 out of 10 tries. It starts the connection, but always ends with the same error. Anyone else having this problem? What can I do to correct this issue?
