iChat Video Problems.

I video chat with a guy in texas. I have a 7mb down/500kb up connection, and he has a 20mb down/2mb up connection.

When the video chat starts, it looks amazing. DVD quality, literally. Then, within a minute, my image of him just gets totally pixilated and locks up, and then I don't see or hear much of him anymore. What is going on?
