iChat video problems

I have a MBP 2.2 GHz and running 10.5.2 and when ever I do a chat I keep having problems. The other people in the chat keep lagging and it pixilates. No one else has this problem. What could be causing this and what can I do to fix it? Thanks

It could be a network or computer issue. Try checking Connection Doctor during a video chat to check your network bandwidth. If iChat is the only application experiencing any issues during the chat, this is probably the most likely.

Also, running a program such as iStat Menus will clue you in on your memory and processor usage at the time. If processor usage spikes, you can see what processes are running wild.
