I just started using the iChat video conferencing feature since I now have freinds with macbooks. I can't understand why th video quality sucks soo much.
I feel like I'm doing video chat circa 2001. We all have at least 3mbps connections and the video is still bad.

Even if I do conferencing over Bonjour on a local network there is little to be desired. Unless Steve has direct T1 lines to each one of his video conference buddies, I don't see how Apple Event quality could ever be achieved in the real world.

Odd, over LAN i get quality as per pic 1
And over broadband i get quality as in pic 2.

Does this compare to your experience?

Sample on Broadband (typically is better than this as well)
