The only person I used to video conference with was my girlfriend; her in her apartment, me in mine. We both would be logged onto our gmail accounts, using the video chatting feature.

Nothing has changed in the last 2 weeks, but suddenly, the video chatting option has stopped working. Whenever I send an invite, and she accepts, we just get an error message that: "There was a communication error during your chat."

I've made sure that nothing in our router settings or networking settings has changed. I don't know what on earth could be causing this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

GMAIL DOES VIDEO NOW!

Have you turned on a firewall at all?

Both of our firewall settings in syspref>security>firewall are set at "allow all incoming connections." We downloaded Skype to test video chatting and that works fine. What could have possibly caused the sudden stopping of its functionality?
