iCloud Account iMessages vs. Phone Number iMessages

When texting my wife from my Apple watch, some go through from my iCloud account and some go through from my phone number... I'm not sure how to fix this, and she now has two message threads from me and there's no discernible pattern as to which one my next text will go.

Is anyone else having similar issues? Any fixes?
