My dad recently lost his phone (and it was found by a cop luckily) and I tried to "find his iphone" to no avail. It seems I forgot to activate his iCloud on his device, so when I went to try and locate it, it said I had to activate it on the device first. Since he recovered it from the cop, I activated the account on his phone, but just curious if there's any way to activate an iCloud account on a device remotely (in case a situation like this happened again.) I've had this happen to my dad and a few friends who were new to iOS and didn't know they had to turn the feature on. Just trying to figure out if there's any way to work around this in the event someone else I know loses a device without it being activated. Thanks.
