Sorry if this is the wrong place but I thought that with iOS 6 our @me.com addresses would be changed to @icloud.com?

I can't log in using @icloud.com nor can I send any mail to it. It doesn't exist unless I create it as an alias. I want to get rid of @me.com and switch to @icloud.com

Thanks! I wish Apple would provide some clarity over this. I don't want to have two addresses with one being @me and one @icloud.

It's even worse for people with an old apple id with purchases in it, a me address and now an icloud alias.

I'm not having this issue. Are you using the same password that you used when you signed up for your iCloud account? Remember, when we all originally signed up for iCloud accounts we had to use an existing email account (gmail, yahoo etc) and a new password. Then we created an @me.com username for our iCloud mail account.
