iCloud backs up pictures?

i was on my macbook and all of a sudden a window popped up saying if i wanted to download pictures and they were all pictures i had taken with my phone. but then the window dissapeared! i don't get it! where do i get it again
 
nvm it was the file transfers section of messages app on my macbook. pictures i sent using i message were there to download to the comp if i wanted.
