iCloud backup and Whatsapp msg

All,
I've a doubt: once you do yr normal automatic backup through iCloud, will yr WhatsApp messages be included? PS I'm not speaking about the one that you do from WhatsApp, I'm talking about the one that yr system do in the night (WhatsApp flag activated, sure).
