iCloud backup has stopped working

I charge both my iPhone and iPad each night and they both perform an iCloud backup each night.

I went into settings on my iPhone a few days back, then into iCloud, then into Storage & Backup and then clicked 'Back up Now' just to see how long it takes. I then cancelled and since then it now no longer backs up to iCloud each night.

I have turned iCloud Backup on and off several times but it is still not doing it. My iPad is still fine however and I still have 5.7GB of space remaining.

Any help?
