iCloud Backup

I pay the 99 cents a month for 50 gb of icloud storage and am getting the iphone 7. I currently use a chromebook so I don't have itunes on here. Will doing the restore from backup on iCloud result in the same as doing a backup from itunes? Using itunes is still an option, I still have my old macbook pro that i can restore from.

If you have authorized iCloud to backup everything on your phone, it will be just like doing a restore from iTunes. If, however, there are exceptions - say you chose not to include videos in the backup, they won't be restored.
