iCloud iCloud bookmarks not showing up in Mac Safari empty tab

For some reason, on my MacBook Air it works fine but on my iMac, I don't see iCloud bookmarks in empty tabs (only when I click the search bar, then I can see them in a pull down menu). Anyone know how I can see them in the empty tab instead?
