That's the question. They are both available and it seems iCloud is costing a little bit of battery drain. I'm considering using Google's exchange server to acumplish the calenders and contacts sync between my devices.

What do you guys do? Or is it just a no-brainer to use iCloud for this?

I really like using google calendars... I have used it before iCloud and it works perfectly. It keeps all my appointments in sync between my iPhone, iPad, and iCal.

I've been using Google for calendar and contacts for the past year and it's worked flawlessly without any worry about reliability or capacity. My wife will update the calendar and within seconds it updates on my iPhone.

If I were starting from scratch, I would do iCloud.

Either will give you what you desire.

In the end I think I will go for iCloud calender and Google contacts lol.. See how that does with battery life.
