icloud contacts sync not working

Hi guys,

I have a problem with syncing my contacts. I had this problem a while ago with my 4s, I then moved to Android and now I'm back to ios but still have the same problem.

My contacts are currently synced with google but I'd also like a backup to icloud as I've lost a few contacts through google.

About 10 of my contacts are synced to icloud but the rest aren't. In settings it is set to sync to icloud.

Any ideas?
