Has anyone had issues with iCloud contacts not working like expected? I went into my iCloud system preferences and I see contacts is turned on but the contacts app is empty and iMessages aren't showing the contact name. I upgraded to 10.13.1 but same issue. I don't remember this happening on 10.12.

I followed the solution on this page and it seemed to fix it for me.

It could be as simple as unchecking contacts to sync rebooting and re-enabling it. This actually happened to me on a fresh install of High Sierra so I shouldn't have had any corruption in my user library.
