Like a lot of long-time users, I have 2 Apple ID’s - one for iCloud (mymail@me.com) and a second one used for purchases, which also happens to be a domain I own (hismail@mydomain.com). I send and receive emails from both addresses.
If I were to use that domain (mydomain.com) with iCloud+ for my custom email domain would there be any problems? Seeing a lot of posts that an iCloud email address needs to be associated with the custom email domain, but since I already have one I use (mymail@me.com), would iCloud force me to use this one or could I make a new one?
A possible further complication is that my wife’s only Apple ID is the domain address (hermail@mydomain.com). We are using Apple One Premier and share those features as family members. I’ve seen several posts where people get an error stating the iCloud email address is already in use. She uses this email address as her main email account.
Currently paying for multiple services with redundant offerings and want to consolidate.
