I'm really trying to make iCloud work seamlessly for document storage, but am constantly confused by having a local Desktop & Documents folder, and an iCloud Desktop & Documents folder. Is there a way to only have the iCloud folders?
Trying to keep track of what gets saved where is confusing and a headache. I'll be in an app, and go to save something to my desktop or documents folder, and I have to figure out whether it's saving to local or iCloud.
Any way around this issue that won't break macOS, like recreating the local folders as alias' to the iCloud folders? Any tips or tricks to using iCloud along these lines?
EDIT: I figured this out on my own - in the iCloud Drive option settings, there's a checkbox for "Desktop & Documents Folders" that will make them one and the same.
