Hi All -
This was working for me before but stopped. I had ICloud Drive in finder, with all the files show/searchable - but they would not download unless I clicked the cloud.
I accidentally dragged a folder to mail instead of a file - so ICloud started to download all 100+GB of that folder... since you cannot [ for some reason ] stop these downloads, I had to sign out and turn off ICloud Drive.
Now - if I turn it back on it insists on trying to download gigs of stuff to my Macbook which doesnt have the space for it [ and I dont want it there, I want it on demand as it was ]
So now - unless I have to keep ICloud drive off , but I cant access or search those files. As we know - the web version of ICloud has no search [ why?? ] so overall it's really frustrating.
I have "Optimized storage" unchecked , and I tried checking it as well and it just tries to max out your hard drive with files.
Any help ?? I called apple they didnt really have an answer at all.
Thanks, DX
