iCloud Drive and Documents

I turned on iCloud Drive on my sidebar and I checked the option to include doucuments and folders.

It then somehow changed my regular Documents and Desktop folders. It removed everything from them and its now something else.

How do I get rid of this new version and restore my previous documents folder with all its contents?
