iCloud Drive documents URLs are sharable and viewable without password for up to 30 minutes.
They seem to be unsecured for about 30 minutes then the URL expires and the document not visible.
- So URLs are entirely unsecured for 30 minutes
- if you are sharing a document URL be aware the person you are sharing won't have access to the doc in a short while
