Hi,

This is probably a simple problem, but I can't seem to figure, when I fired up my iCloud Drive in my Macbook, there are certain founders with the cloud icon, some of the icon says "waiting to download" while others says "in iCloud"

My question is why some folders don't have the sign? (marked in blue in the image)

The ones with and without the cloud icon both synced to my iCloud.

Much thanks for the help!

I noticed this too and when I click on the Cloud the files download and the cloud goes away

my take is those files with the cloud are not downloaded or not synchronized ?

Maybe there is a setting somewhere to change this to download all the time but I I am fine with this behavior - not an issue for me - at least not for now

I'm sure that the ones with the cloud icon with an arrow pointing down means that those items are not on your local drive but just in the cloud. As you open a file within one of those folders the file will download so you you can work with it. I'm not sure why the others do not have an icon at all. All of mine do. Just the cloud icon indicating that I have them on my local drive,.

Thank you Nigel and Mikzn, both of you are right. It's probably because the folder didn't sync into my local drive. The reason why some folders didn't have the cloud sign was likely because those folders are actually local folders backed up to the cloud, so there was no syncing needed as they only needed to mirror it (where as the folder with the cloud sign is a folder backed up from another computer)

Thanks!
