iCloud Drive issues , Mac and iOS

Hi,

Have an iPhone X and a MacBook Pro and this iCloud Drive/files is driving me insane.

I have a lot of stuff on my iCloud Drive , lots on my desktop that syncs as you know to iCloud Drive. I delete files off the desktop and weeks go by. Ive just reformatted my Mac as was running slowly and when I've put in my details all the old stuff that I deleted has come back to my desktop. Also lots of times I put something on my Mac and it doesn't show on files in iOS. Any way to refresh it manually or get the thing working properly??

I struggled to make sense of your post. It sounds, though, like your Mac isn’t syncing your iCloud documents. Try turning it off and back on again.
