I have watched the WWDC presentation by Federighi a couple of times, and I'm a little confused about how documents are shared on iOS. He says the user can be in an app like Sketchbook, then open and edit a document in Goodreader, then it will be saved back in Goodreader. My question being, is there an actual "drive" or filesystem where all documents can reside, rather than the user having to go to another app? Going from app to app may help with keeping documents from being duplicated in iOS's current sandboxing scheme, but I have a feeling files will just end up scattered throughout various apps. The interesting thing is that Goodreader could almost be used as a filesystem in itself.
I know this may be a question for the Yosemite forum, but can iCloud Drive on the Mac be accessed and backed-up with an app like Carbon Copy?
I realize these are just betas and will possibly change with the final release, I'm just curious. Thanks for any input.
