Hi. It seems to me that I can share a single file from iCloud Drive with a link that allows anyone to download the file from the browser, but it doesn't seem to work with folders. Is there a workaround? I switched from Dropbox/Nextcloud to iCloud Drive and was surprised to see the limited sharing options. Thanks in advance.

I wonder if this info might help. Perhaps there’s a step missing in your process?

Hi, the problem is that if I share a *folder* as explained in that article users with the link can only add the folder to their own iCloud Driver but not just download the folder. It works with single files instead.

For now I am using Jumpshare just for that, but it would be awesome to be able to just use iCloud.

Ah, ok, I understand now. You want your sharees to download the folder. I agree too that it would be a good feature.

I haven’t tried this, but will it work if the folder is compressed?

I guess it would, but the user has to download the folder and extract it. Instead with Dropbox and Nextcloud they could browse the folder directly in the browser. I can do this with Jumpshare now but it would be nice to be able to do something similar with iCloud.
