Hey everyone,

So I was super excited to start using icloud drive with yosemite instead of dropbox... but it turns out that it is extremely limited to my understanding.

The main reason I use cloud storage is to share files with people. Does anyone know a way to do with with icloud drive or did I just waste my money paying for it?

Ideally I would love to have the "copy public link" feature that dropbox has but I thought there would at least be a way to email a file using apple mail. But I can't get the mail app to recognize the file as being apart of icloud drive and therefore not try and physically attach it to the email.

Any advice on this?

Thanks

iCloud Drive remains the most restrictive when it comes to sharing compared to other cloud services.

There are no public sharing for your files. I know there is a MailDrop for your Mail.app but it doesn't seem to work for me but that's not public sharing.

There are shared albums in iPhoto but that's not the same.
