Does anyone know if iCloud Drive will sync across the local network for Macs using Yosemite? I am referring to what happens with Dropbox for example where syncing is done through the local network where possible.
I accept the 'first' upload will use the internet, but I have 5 macs so I am wondering what will happen when iCloud Drive comes online fully in the 10.10 GM release (when I plan to fully switch to iCloud Drive from Dropbox) and I load 200GB of files onto the primary Mac's iCloud Drive folder and sync it across all my Macs.
Will it, for example, upload the initial 200GB of files and sync the rest across the local network, or will it do a 200GB upload the 4 more 200GB downloads via the internet to the other Macs?
I am assuming (and hoping) it will sync locally, but was just wondering.
Thanks
