As the title says, I have a Windows 10 laptop with iCloud 14 recently installed. it seems v. 14 of iCloud for Windows Ten keeps turning on iCloud Photos. I do not use iCloud for Photos on any of my mobile devices, like my iPads or iPhone. However there are a bunch of photos shown under the iCloud Photos folder on my Pictures folder. So I am afraid to uncheck the option in the iCloud for Windows app as I do not know what will happen when I do that. I am afraid it will delete a bunch of my photos. I guess I could copy all those pictures to another folder.

But does anyone know if it's safe to uncheck this option and turn iCloud for Windows off on my laptop?

Thanks for any thoughts.

BTW, I just hate it when Apple decides what I want and turns options on on its own. They have been doing this with OS updates on my phone and tvOs. I want to choose when to update the OS and apps. Anyway, rant over. If anyone has any thoughts on this, please let me know.

Thank you.
