Hi,

I’ve had apple devices for a while but never used iCloud. I’ve signed up for more storage then synced Photos on Mac to iCloud.

How do I get them to show on my iPhone? I’ve gone into iPhone settings then iCloud settings, I’ve turned on iCloud photos.

No images showing in any folders.

If I click on the ‘photos’ folder bottom left in the photos menu, it says ‘Updating...’

Thanks

I've experienced some really long sync times (24 hours+) when enabling existing photo libraries via iCloud. You may want to ensure that your Mac that is holding the originals has a solid connection to the internet (wired if possible) for speedier upload to iCloud.

To help determine where the slowdown might be, you can login to iCloud.com and view your Photos - this will show you how far your Mac has gotten in getting photos into the cloud - they cannot be downloaded to your iPhone via iCloud until they show up on iCloud.com, so that's the first spot to check.

If all of your Mac's photos are visible on iCloud.com but still not appearing on your iPhone, let me know and we'll look at a few more things.

If not all of your Mac's photos are visible on iCloud.com, make sure your Mac has a good internet connection and keep waiting :/

I appreciate the reply.

I managed to sort it eventually. All of the photos were uploaded to iCloud.com successfully but my iPhone did not want to let me do anything with iCloud.
I couldn't log in, log off or turn off find my iPhone. Plugged it into my Mac and turned it find my iPhone off, wiped everything and started again. It still took a few attempts to sign into iCloud when iOS had reloaded, it said the account was blocked and I had follow a few links until it finally let me sign in!
