iCloud - How do you sync stuff "On My Mac" to iCloud?

I have the iOS 5 beta on my iPhone and not really sure how to set things up. I set up iCloud, but all my contacts, calendars, etc are listed under "On My Mac," and not under "iCloud." How can I merge the stuff over to iCloud?
