iCloud is making duplicate Desktop and Documents folder

Having had no response to this in the Mojave forum I’m hoping someone will know something about this in the generic macOS forum.

Never mind, I had to manually copy all the data into one of the folders and delete all the other archived ones.

I have two folders on my MacPro laptop. One named FOLDERS (which contains everything) and another one named Firefox Data (which contains everything that is on my original FOLDER). When I try to delete the items in the Firefox folder it also deletes the main items in the FOLDER. How do I get rid of the duplicate folder and not lose the originals?

How did you end up with the 2 folders to begin with?! Sounds like the Firefox folder is at a higher hierarchy in the folder structure than the Folder folder.
