Yesterday, I took advantage of the ATT $700 trade in promo and traded in my XS for a 12. I did an iCloud backup before I went so everything would be saved. The store was having issues with their internet, so I told them I would just take the phone home and set it up instead of waiting at the store for it to be set up. They told me to first update to 14.3 then do a factory reset to begin setting it up. I did the setup from my last iCloud backup, but I noticed when I got done that half of my music was missing and a couple of my playlists I had in iTunes (or whatever it is called now). I have had these playlists for many years and I don't remember having this issue when I set up my XS. I had to plug the phone into my Mac mini for it to download the rest of my music and my playlists.

This concerns me because my Mac mini is old and I'm not sure what I would do if this happens again and something happens to my mini. My question is why was all my music and playlists not in my iCloud and how can I prevent this from happening in the future? Maybe I am doing something wrong but all my photos transferred over. Thanks for the help!
