Is anyone having iCloud login / Sync issues on macOS at the moment?

Tested multiple High Sierra, and Sierra machines, in different locations & networks - even when they appear to be logged in, going into Account Settings in the iCloud system preferences prefpane brings up an error. Logging out of iCloud results in a machine that can't log back in to it. Safari 13 can't connect to iCloud.com, but the current Firefox can.

Would appreciate any folks checking to see if they're able to get their account settings up.

Lost icloud support in MacOS 10.12? My Notes and Photos, and iCloud Drive won't sync and I can't login to the iCloud window in System preferences. All worked on 6 April 2022 (Weds.). Did Apple drop support for this silently? Tech support told me to buy a new computer.

Same issue here today. Did you resolve it?

I thank you for your help. Trying those steps got the notes back and the prefs login to work and iCloud Drive - but now iCloud notes are not syncing.

that's a shame, It's working both ways here - syncing between High Sierra and iOS 12. I did have to toggle between All iCloud and Notes in the left column on the Mac, to see the refresh show up a note created on he iOS device.

Did you check in the iCloud Drive settings to see if Notes is enabled for iCloud storage?

That seems to have worked, thanks again!

EDIT May 21: The certificate expired at 1:45am Australian Eastern Time, and everything broke again, aside from getting Account Details in System Preferences.

Until Apple issues an updated certificate, a temporary workaround is to open Keychain Access, go to Login Keychain. View Menu > Show Expired Certificates. Right click on the CA 2 - G1 certificate, go to the Trust Section, and set "When Using Certificate" to: Always Trust.

EDIT: Just realised I hadn't updated this thread - the problem was resolved in the other thread
