Apple's iCloud Mail service and its iCloud Web Apps are currently experiencing an outage, according to Apple's System Status page.

iCloud-General-Feature.jpg

Impacted users are unable to use iCloud Mail or iCloud Web Apps, and the services have been down since 4:29 p.m. Eastern Time.

Apple says that only some users are affected, so not everyone will experience issues. We'll update this article when iCloud Mail and Apple's iCloud Web Apps are up and running.

Update 5:50 p.m. ET: Stocks, Game Center, and Apple News are also down.

Update 2, 5:52 p.m. ET: Apple has also added TestFlight, and iWork for iCloud to the list of services experiencing issues.

Update 3, 6:15 p.m. ET: The outages with iCloud Mail, iCloud Web Apps, TestFlight, and Game Center have been resolved. Apple News and Stocks are still experiencing issues.

Update 4, 6:30 p.m. ET: Photos and Game Center are again listed as having issues. Apple News and Stocks are also still down.

Update 5, 7:30 p.m. ET: Everything is operational except for Game Center.

Update 6, 8:15 p.m. ET: All of Apple's services are back up and running.

Damn, another outage? 2 outages in the same day. That hasn't happened in a while.

Apple's like "Eh, why wait for September. August is good."

I challenge you to provide actual fact based proof that Apple has had an outage every month from January 2023-August 2024, or admit your statement is something you dreamed up.

*cough cough* 🤣

First time this happened for me. A bit scary as initially the System Status page showed nothing wrong, so I assumed it was something on my side, without a clue as to what it might be.
The status page is often very late, usually later than Twitter and news sites. Apple should just have someone check Twitter and manually update their status page. It'd be an improvement.

I’m pretty sure iMessage is down. iOS 18.1 latest beta. iMessages will not send if it’s a photo or link or video!

taking down servers to save money. Classic Apple move.

You pay premium prices for services.

Edit: Received info they were implementing AI to their services and it did some weird coding.
