Hi all

I have an issue with icloud mail app on macos Ventura on my iMac.

I have been using this setup for almost 10 years without problems - and it works fine on iPhone and iPad.

I can´t send e-mails without “access denied” pop-up.

Anyone any ideas ?

Curious ... Mail app for Ventura is a local app that has folders listed for local and iCloud, but yes it's iCloud Mail.

Are any of your drafts or failed messages showing up in Recovered Messages folder?
If so and you edit the draft, will it send?

What happens if you copy the content, create a New Email yet via Safari signed into iCloud > Mail there will the message send? If yes, with Mail app in focus, try to select Mailbox menu and 'Synchronize iCloud' ... unsure if this must be done for all folders (aka mailboxes) you have in Mail iCloud app.
If all else fails ... you may need to select Mailbox menu and select Rebuild. FIRST save any drafts or attachments not yet sync'd to your iCloud Mail via the browser just in case. hopefully that helps.

Thank you for reply.

My mail app is very simple and clean - and signed in via iCloud.
No folders with unread mails, no drafts, no spam, no trash e.t.c.
I use inbox, sendt and trash. When I recieve a mail that I want to keep, I move it to subfolders.

Have done “syncronize iCloud” with no luck.

I have read online that I can reset the mail app by deleting folders in

~/Library/Containers
~/Library/Mail
~/Library/Preferences
~/Library/Application Scripts

and then sign back in to mail.

I might try that if no other solution shows up.

/Lars
