Reading through the changes listed in the official release of iOS 11, it doesn’t appear that iCloud message syncing is back yet. Has anyone discovered if this is really the case maybe they just omitted it from the “Learn More” part of the update software page?

It has not been added back into the software yet by this point. They found something wrong with the syncing process during the beta cycle, and said the feature would return in a later iOS 11 update. To us, this means 11.0.1, 11.1, etc.

It says coming this fall.

Since messages will be available on HomePod, it will need to know that you have messages. There will be no way for the HomePod to know about a SMS without it.

Point being...It should come back shortly before the HomePod release.
