I went to check my backup in settings on my new 3rd gen iPad on April 9th in the early am. It states the last backup as April 6th. Does not make sense. I'm all activated for iCloud, no computer backup ever done on my iPad, only iCloud. It seemed to be working fine. I did though, delete iCloud cuz I changed my id on the 4th. That may have thrown some kind of kink in the works, but cannot imagine how. I am certain I have covered all my bases. My storage needs are small too. On a 32 gb., I am using only 1.8 gb. Anyone's backups skipping a few days now and then?

The device will backup to iCloud the first chance it gets 24 hours after the last backup, provided it is plugged in and in the lock mode. You can however backup manually any time you wish.

Ashwood, you got it! Mine is NOT in lock mode cuz my alarm clock app keeps it open. Dang, why didn't I think of that? Great work. Thanks so much.
