iCloud not syncing between iPhone and MBP?

Is there something I am supposed to turn on? It looks like iCloud is turned set on both my iPhone and MBP but when I added a contact to my phone and an event on my calender, both are not showing up on MBP.

I am just curious if I am doing it wrong. Also, where do you find the photos that you take with your phone on your Mac?

Finding iCloud so confusing so far.

I do see that I do have stuff backed up on my iCloud account.

Yes, actually had those done before I could get iO/S 5 to install.

Figured it out, must enable iCloud account in Preferences in each area.
