I delete messages from Mail on my MBP but on my iPhone they don't delete and am only notified with sounds on my iPhone occasionally

iCloud not syncing e-mail

I assume you are using iCloud? Deleted messages form OS X will not delete on the iPhone until another new message is pushed to the iPhone to update the mail status.
Ok thanks I thought that may be the case because there are different fetch settings I notice on the iPhone compared with the mac. I can't understand why it doesn't always alert on the iPhone mind. Oops I forgot yes I'm using iCloud
