Eek. Upgraded my phone to iOS15, agreed to the new iCloud terms, and now my entire iCloud suite no longer works on my older devices, specifically my wonderful 2008 MacPro, running El Capitan. It's a media server, and CS5 workstation that I use Notes and iCloud Drive a lot for.

This is a problem.

Ouch, that's definitely going to be an issue.

I have an older Mac too, though it's a few years newer than your Mac Pro (a mid-2011 iMac) and running High Sierra.

I haven't touched it in a while so after reading your post I booted it up to have a look. So far, iCloud continues to work properly including Apple Music and iCloud Drive, despite me upgrading my iPhone and iPad to iOS/iPad OS 15 on release day.

I know it doesn't help much, but I just wanted to my experience with an 'old' OS that's only a couple of versions newer than yours.
