Hello,

i have a problem with ICloud on IOS. I had files in ICloud drive in the past and i deleted them so that ICloud-Drive-Files-App is completely empty, but still ICloud is using 600 MB disk space on my phone (See screenshot).

What can i do to get rid of these cached files?

Marcel

Things that don't work:
Disabeling and re-enabelding ICloud drive had no effect.

It has been my experience that the size listed there can take days to months to get in sync with whatever happens elsewhere (Mac, iPad, etc...). For example, I have 83GB of photos in iCloud and on my Mac, but my iPhone still shows 118GB used (I spent 6 months cleaning up my photo library this year).

iCloud itself can take days to weeks to reflect space changes - for myself, I had 3 years of it showing the incorrect usage until I called Apple to say hey what's up, then it magically started updating.

I think all of this is "automagically" set to work and there's very little we can do to change it besides spending hours with Apple Support trying to get them to run update scripts (which I found nearly impossible to do even after 20-30 mins of being on the phone).

Sorry, not really an answer but a reflection of my experience. I'd give it a month and see if that updates.
