iCloud Photo beta upload time??

Has anyone had any experience of enabling the iCloud photo library beta on an iPhone?

It currently says "Uploading 6,703 items" but the progress bar is about 5% through and hasn't moved for about 45 minutes. Help?!

it will continue to upload in the background it has alot of photos to upload so give it time.
