iPhone 15 Pro Max iCloud photo download stuck

I bought a 512GB storage 15PM in order to have all my photo originals on the phone and not just in iCloud. The 110GB library download went on all night.
It is stuck now at the last 200 originals- not moving at all.
Any idea what could cause that or how to proceed?

Having same issue. When I upgrade from iPhone 13 Pro Max to iPhone 15 Pro, I’ve had syncing issues with iCloud Photos. Everything else in iCloud syncs, but photos. I really don’t have a solution for you. I have been waiting on Apple engineers to get back with me on it and it’s been 2 weeks now.

I’m actually delighted to see some other people with this issue. I actually returned my 15 Pro Max because of this one. The sync was getting stuck and actually preventing me from sharing photos (to messages etc).

A clean reinstall didn’t fix it even though the problem never came about on the 14 Pro Max using the same photos iCloud backup.

Seems to be an issue related somehow to the new Pro phone. God only knows what the solution is. I filed a bug for 17.1 beta 1.

Hope this get fixed.

So currently you are using 14 Pro Max with no issues? It’s affected both my iPhone 15 Pro and iPad Pro 12.9 (3rd generation). Getting really frustrated with Apple and I don’t see a real fix anytime soon. I also think you might be right with the new pro phones having these issues. Or possibly Apple iCloud servers aren‘t meshing with this new update or with these pro phones.
