So earlier today on my iPhone 6 I wiped and restored the OS then restored everything from my iCloud backup. Everything was back including my photo stream. When I turned on the iCloud Photo Library I got the "updating" text and when it finished I went to the photo app to find it empty of photos (including my photo stream).

I then took a few pictures and see they have been uploaded to the iCloud Library.

Should I assume Apple intensionally vaporized my photostream during this process without any indication that it was going to be done?
