This is likely a set of dumb questions, but I feel the need to ask for clarification.

I created a photo album on my iPad and noticed it did not automatically sync to my iPhone. I then created a "shared" album to test and that album seems to sync ok. I was under the impression that "shared" albums were for use when wanting to share photos with other people.

1) Are shared albums required to have photo albums sync across devices? Even if I do not want to share the album with anyone else?

2) I assume that if I do not select other people to invite, that the photos will not be viewable to others unless they are "invited"?

I guess I kinda assumed that whatever I did on one device would flow through to my other devices, regardless of what kind of album it is. Seems kinda silly to have device specific albums.
