Looking for a replacement for iCloud photos. Preferably self hosted as I have about 30tb of storage at my disposal. I do love the seamless integration between iCloud photos and all my Macs (at various locations), iPads, iPhone etc. So im wanting something that is almost as seamless but just makes sense. I do edit photos at times with Lightroom/luminar and want to incorporate that into the flow..
What are you guys using? I do have the knowledge to mount network drives/vpns/ etc. Also I have 1gig up and down fiber so speed isn't an issue generally. I have no problem streaming 4k movies from my house to wherever I am on Plex without transcoding as long as the internet speed is reliable on the other end.

The reason im trying to move away is that my family is on 2tb plan, and we are maxed out. I do not want to keep paying for space.

Nothing really touches the seamlessness of iCloud. You could do GDrive/OneDrive which sort of support iOS/Mac picture workflows, but even those are cumbersome. On-prem storage is however not an option, sorry.
