Hey there,
I turned off iCloud Photos on my iPad because even with it on it’s taking up nearly 16 GB of my 64GB iPad. I don’t need those photos accessible to me there. However, I turned it off and chose “remove photos from iPad” but the low resolution thumbnails are all still in my app and my iPad storage is decreasing.
Does it take a long time for it to delete everything or what process is currently happening?
Any explanation would be great.
PS - on iOS 14 I tried to do this. It didn’t delete anything. It left all thumbnails there as low resolution. I had to select all my photos and delete manually. Which worked but left all the empty albums. Then when I deleted the empty photo albums it deleted them on my other devices even though iCloud Photos was turned off so I’m afraid to touch anything. Was hoping things were fixed now in iOS 16.
